The Chamber hosts five Power Luncheons throughout the year. They include:
Diversity Luncheon – Each September, the Chamber hosts a Diversity Luncheon recognizing the Corporation, Non-Profit, Small Business, and Citizen who promotes diversity and inclusiveness in their workplace or community. The event has a keynote speaker who shares a motivational message on the need for individuals to recognize what we as a community and region can achieve collectively.
Healthcare Summit – A healthcare Summit was held in February of 2019 which included the CEO’s of Atrium – University Hospital, Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, and Novant Health – Huntersville Medical Center. The panelists took questions from those who attendee on a wide-ranging field of questions concerning their businesses and families. Plans are already underway to host another Healthcare Summit in 2020.
Public Safety Awards – The Chamber Annually recognizes the outstanding Police and Fire Officer of the Year as well as the Crime Stopper of the Year as selected by the Towns of Huntersville, Davidson, and Cornelius.
Small Business Event of the Year held in May in conjunction with Small Business Week. The Small Business Luncheon has become the Chamber’s Signature Small Business Event attended by well over 100 Small Business Owners and Managers. Keynoted by a renown author or motivational speaker, the event usually has several high-powered speakers providing motivation, insight, and inspiration. The event is emceed by Joe Vagnone, host of Local Biz Now WSIC 100.7 105.9 FM. Joe, who served on the Chamber Board of Directors as Business Growth Chair, founded the event.
Other luncheons may include topics such as: Education, Economic Development Forecast, Real Estate, Legislative Report, and a Report on the three Towns.
