The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has taken no position to support or oppose the Mecklenburg County Transit Tax (PAVE Act) that is on the ballot November 4^th. In a meeting earlier this year, the Chamber Board did vote to support allowing the voters of Mecklenburg County to decide themselves the measure in a referendum.

The Chamber of Commerce did coordinate an August briefing on the proposed sales tax measure in a Focus Friday program held at the Chamber and presented by Larry Shaheen - Attorney with The McIntosh Law Firm. The presentation which was decidedly in favor of the transit tax was recorded and can be viewed at:
