Networking is about building your business connections. The Lake Norman Chamber offers a variety of networking opportunities which include:
Ribbon Cuttings – If you are new to the Chamber or Community, or have recently renovated or assumed new management, we encourage you to consider a Ribbon Cutting to give your business exposure. Contact Jack Stevens at the Chamber at 704-892-1922 for availability. We will bring the scissors, ribbon, and contact the area elected officials as well as get the information to our area media. We encourage Chamber Members who might know or want to get to know that business to participate! Come out and join us as we welcome this new business to our Chamber family.
Coffee Connections / Business Before Hours – Usually held from 8 am until 9:30 am, these events allow businesses who may be limited in their budget or unable to host a large function in the afternoon to host an event. It is usually held at the convenience of our host so there is no certain day of the month.
Business Mixers – Our Business Mixers, much like the After Hours Events, are typically held the first Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 7 pm but can be held in conjunction with a Ribbon Cutting event. Business Mixers are a great way to build your business contacts.
Business After Hours – The lake’s premier networking event held the third Thursday of each month since 1987! Businesses from Huntersville to Mooresville participate in this monthly event.
Speed Networking at Sam’s Club – On the Second Friday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00 am, three of our regional Chambers: Greater Statesville, Lake Norman, and the Mooresville South Iredell Chamber all come together for the Second Friday Speed Networking Event. This fast-paced event takes place each month at Sam’s Club 646 River Highway in Mooresville. Sam’s always serves up a hot breakfast catered in by one of our regional restaurants. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
Other Networking Events include the Annual Meeting held the third Friday in January, the Small Business Luncheon usually held during or preceding Small Business Week, and New Member Orientations. The New Member orientations are usually held quarterly and provide an overview of how members can take advantage of their membership. This event is not confined to new members as many existing members like to attend to get a refresher on how they can get maximum exposure for their business.
