About Leadership Lake Norman
The Chamber's premier leadership program is designed to help develop informed, committed and qualified leaders for the Lake Norman region. By taking an intensive look into the issues affecting Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius and the greater Lake Norman region, Leadership Lake Norman prepares and motivates participants to provide quality, dynamic leadership within the area. Since the program began in 1997, there have been over 450 participants. Many alumni have served in key leadership positions within their businesses and organizations, as well as town council, state house, area civic organizations, and the Chamber Board of Directors.
New classes embark each year on a journey to understand the inner-workings of our area, including History & Education, Government, Healthcare, Economic Development, Community Infrastructure, and Travel and Tourism. Each class selects a project to meet a need in our region.
Graduates develop life-long friendships with other civic-minded men and women in our community, as well as a deeper understanding of what makes our dynamic community a great place to live, work, and visit.
How to Get Involved
Leadership Lake Norman requires a 8-month commitment. Participants are selected each fall through an application process based upon their past involvement in the community and their ability to set and achieve high personal goals. An online application will be published on the Chamber webpage as well as emailed electronically in July 2019.
