Andrew Schlesser with Sweet Dreams recognized with the 2019 John R. Cherry Community Service Award

"Mattman" singled out for Civic Service

Outgoing Chamber Board Chair Tricia Sisson recognized Andrew Schlesser with the John R. Cherry Community Service award at a packed Annual Meeting of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce.  Ion attendance to help present the award was Chamber Founder John Cherry. Cherry was also one of the founders of the North Mecklenburg Rotary Club and ahs been an active member of the Huntersville Lions Club as well as a Board Member of Rural Hill.

Schlesser is the manager and “Director of Fun” at Sweet Dreams according to owners Greg and Katy Law who coincidently were recognized with the 2019 Robert T Cashion Businesspersons of the Year. He has served in that role for 13 years.

Matt is perhaps best known for his Alter-ego, “Mattman” - The Superhero at Sweet Dreams.  Law states, “Mattman Fights the things that keep us up at night, so that you can fall asleep faster, and stay asleep longer so you can get the good night’s sleep that you deserve.”

The John R. Cherry Award is presented annually to an individual of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce who has demonstrated a lifetime of community service or significantly enhanced the quality of life for the citizens of the Lake Norman region.
