Charlotte’s LawnAmerica is celebrating the news of being awarded the designation of Landscape Industry Accredited Company by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). This is the first such designation for any company in North Carolina, and only the seventh accreditation awarded in the nation. Saturday, June 9th 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Beds for Kids is having a Family Fun Day in the parking lot at 11020 Bailey Road Cornelius. Activities include a bounce house with slide, face painting, corn hole, Jenga, and a DJ from Pure Trax Entertainment. Food and drink will include Sugar Daddy's food truck, Clean Juice, Papa Robb's Paradise Ice and D9 Brewery. In celebration of their 10th anniversary in Davidson and their subsequent relocation to their new store at 428 South Main Street, still in Davidson, Ken and Kim Rodes, owners of PostNet at Davidson, have hosted a ribbon cutting with the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 24th. This year, Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists embarked on the HOOF (Hunters Offering Others Food) Project, which brought together farmers, sportsmen and community groups to sustainably manage white-tail deer, reduce deer damage to crops, increase local farm revenue and provide hunter-harvested venison to local food banks and shelters. Deer annually cause heavy crop damage to local farms, resulting in fewer fresh grains and vegetables. At the same time, there are thousands of people in the four-county area surrounding Lake Norman that suffer from food insecurity.
