Is your company, small business, or non-profit promoting inclusiveness and diversity in the workplace? Do you know someone who has really worked hard to bring our communities together when it comes to gender, racial, or generational diversity?
On Thursday, November 15th, the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Champions of Diversity Luncheon noon at River Run Country Club. Ths event has been rescheduled from the previous date of Thursday, September 20th because of Hurricane Florence. The Chamber will recognize the Corporation, Small Business, Nonprofit, and Individual who practices and promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace. You do not have to be a member of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce to be considered.
Specifically (In 150 words or less) the chamber asks that you cite actions the business, nonprofit or individual has taken to show respect for diversity and what is the impact on the workforce, customers, suppliers, or community.
Nomination forms can be found and downloaded on the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce website at:Diversity Nomination Form. The nominations are due by Monday, November 5th at 5 pm and can be emailed to email@example.com, faxed to 704-892-5313, or mailed care of Lake Norman Chamber PO Box 760 Cornelius, NC 28031.
On Thursday, November 15th, the Chamber will hold a luncheon where the Champions of Diversity will be recognized. All finalists will be informed by November 9th if they have been selected.
