Business Training & Seminars
Tech Talks and other Seminars
The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce is constantly striving to keep its members informed and up-to-date on a variety of business tools and management & marketing trends. Seminars could include basic operations such as management best practices or a review of financial programs such as Quick Books. Each quarter, the Chamber hosts a Lunch and Learn called Tech Talks. Whether it's an Introduction to Your Smart Phone class, Utilizing Social Media, or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) you'll pick up useful skills to use in everyday business! If you have a suggestion for an upcoming topic, or would like to teach a class, please contact Jack Stevens at 704-892-1922. It is chaired by Mike Murphy - Chair of Technology & Communication.
This program is designed to provide businesses with marketing, management or sales strategies and practices to make them more competitive and efficient. It also allows representatives of a business a time to network with other Chamber members. BusinessWorks! is held the second Tuesday of each month at Noon at the Chamber and features experienced business owners and/or experts in the selected topic of interest. It is chaired by Jim Vogel.
Annual Lunch & Launch
The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Joe Vagnone - Local Biz Now 100.7 FM to host an informative Small Business Week Lunch & Launch. Held each year in May in conjunction with the Small Business Administration Small Business Week, the 3-hour program consists of several dynamic speakers as well as a panel discussion.
The event is typically held at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius.
