The July Focus Friday will be quick update of the latest trends in the communications and media industries as technology keeps evolving and consumers access their content from a variety of platforms, sources and devices. It will include information on AT&T’s wireless small cell deployment, the roll out of 5G technology and the world of the "Internet of Things."
Our speaker is Carlos E. Sanchez, State Director - External Affairs AT&T North Carolina. Sanchez has lived in Charlotte for twenty years and formerly worked in the television production industry in New York City and Miami, FL. Mr. Sanchez is a member of the Board of Directors at the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA), Goodwill Industries of the Carolinas and the NC Independent Colleges and Universities.
He is on the Executive Committee of the Charlotte Chamber and chairs the Public Policy Committee. Carlos was appointed Jury Commissioner for the 26th Judicial District in Mecklenburg County from 2003 to 2012. He was chair of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte in 2004/2005 and chaired the Charlotte Chamber Campaign in 2008.

Focus Friday is a public policy program of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce which examines community and legislative issues from multiple perspectives. While intended for Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce members and community leaders, guests are welcome by RSVP to the Chamber at 704-892-1922.
