BusinessWorks May 9th Session Topic: Improve Your Negotiation Skills and Never Get Caught Off Guard Again! 8:30 - 10:00 am

IgorSession Topic: Improve Your Negotiation Skills and Never Get Caught Off Guard Again!

The traditional school of negotiation places the main focus on rationality. While learning to be a rational negotiator is necessary, it is far from sufficient. There are mental habits and biases you need to understand that might prevent you from following rational advice.

In this presentation, our SCORE Speaker Igor Gorlatov will help you develop the self-awareness and rationality that is often missing when people negotiate unprepared, caught off guard, or shoot from the hip. He will also assist you in anticipating the thoughts and moves of your negotiation opponents and partners.

Igor Gorlatov is founder and principal of the Successful Negotiators Club. Originally from Belarus, Igor moved to Charlotte in 2016 after falling in love with the USA when studying marketing on a Fulbright Scholarship. He started his Successful Negotiators Club on three pillars: (1) eleven years of sales experience in the digital marketing industry, (2) academic research as an MBA program faculty member, and (3) best practice through observing international negotiations, where Igor was involved as a simultaneous interpreter. His list of clients includes the Trilateral Group on Peaceful Resolution of the Conflict in Ukraine, the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, UN, EU Commission and many others.FullSizeRender 004
