Outstanding Volunteer of the Month - May 2011
Midge Barna Midge’s cheery voice has greeted callers on Thursday and Friday at the Lake Norman Chamber for 18 years. Midge Barna of Cornelius doesn’t just spend a few hours at the Chamber when she reports to her post…she does the 9 to 5 thing…every week. Midge says that volunteering at the Chamber keeps her young.

Board Member of the Quarter Hilary Broadway, Broker, Realtor and Trainer with Allen Tate Realtors has been named Outstanding Board Member. Hilary is the Vice Chair of the Business Education and Advocacy division of the Chamber’s programs. Hilary facilitated the Focus Friday and Public Policy meetings and monitored local, state and federal legislative activity that influences business growth and activity in the Lake Norman area, keeping the membership informed of those activities. Hilary has worked to establish regional business priorities for upcoming legislative sessions in order to create a long term legislative framework for ongoing strategic priorities.
