The Business Growth and Regional Advancement Division supports successful business by advocating for an improved commercial infrastructure and by helping bring new business to the lake region.  This division works closely with economic and legislative officials to strategically develop a friendly and supportive business environment and maintains active relationships with state and local officials to ensure road projects and other transportation related projects are planned, funded, and successfully completed.

• Market the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce as the premier organization for obtaining information on business resources and commerce.
• Support and assist the work of the Lake Norman Regional Economic Development Corporation with specific attention to a long-range economic development strategy for the region.
• Foster growth of existing business and industry in partnership with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
• Host a regional workforce development summit in coordination with Central Piedmont Community College.
• Assist and support small business within the Lake Norman region.
• Encourage promotion of the business community and Lake Norman region through a radio or cable format.
• Support small business growth and entrepreneurship utilizing the Lake Norman Business Resource Center and partnerships with SBA, SCORE, and CPCC.
• Host a series of small business workshops to assist start-up and existing small business in financing, marketing, and management.
