The mission of the Diversity Council is to support the diverse minority business community in the greater Lake Norman area and create access through education, networking, and advancement opportunities. Programs of this Division are presented by Fifth Third Bank.
- To forge strong partnerships with like-minded professional organizations and identify new ways to achieve the common goals of our members
- To identify and/or develop educational opportunities to help insure business success
- To support businesses in search of mentoring and guide them in attaining appreciation for the pre-requisites and requirements for procuring business with medium to large-sized organizations and companies
- To aid small, minority and women business-owners in developing a greater understanding of the local, state and federal certification process, as well as the other certifications that are available to minority and women-owned companies
- To address any “unique” issues associated with minority business development
